Dairy Cow Isopods are a color morph of Porcellio laevis. P. laevis are believed to have originated in England and are known to inhabit damp areas rich with compost or leaf litter. P. Laevis are prolific breeders once established and raising colonies can be highly rewarding. Laevis grow to be surprisingly large for cleaners and thus make great additions to large terrariums housing large reptiles from tegus to pythons. Porcellio laevis can move extremely fast when startled giving them the nickname "swift woodlouse."

All live animals are shipped Monday-Wednesday
. Orders placed on or after Wednesday at noon will ship the following Monday to avoid spending the weekend at the post office or on a truck. Someone must be present to accept package delivery.

Cold Temp notice:
We ship dozens of packages every Mon-Wed to sub-freezing temps. Our ultra-insulative packing filler is perfect for winter shipping and negates the need for heat packs. Shipping packs for reptiles max out at 100* (compared to 180* for hot hands) and can easily cook a shipment of springtails as our boxes are extremely well insulated.
We ship USPS (as both UPS and FedEx are unreliable in our area and have lost/left packages). We suggest that you select Priority Mail (also called Expedited shipping) at checkout. This ensures your animals are only in transit for 2 days and your package is insured. Should anything happen to them, your costs are completely covered and a replacement would cost you nothing.
