Description
Very nice western style trophy belt buckle, made by Linden Awards of Michigan, probably designed and cast by Ron Allie. Mr. Allie started out as a jeweler and began designing awards for trapshooting organizations in the US and Canada in 1992, along with custom belt buckles for all types of sportsmen. Sadly, he passed in 2019.This was for the Missouri Trapshooters Association in 1999. It is unmarked as to metallic composition. Looks and feels like pewter with bronze embellishment, but that's just a guess.
Measures about 3-1/2" wide by 2-5/8" tall. Belt loop will accommodate up to a 1-3/4" wide belt.
Comes in an attractive wood presentation case, etched with the MTA logo. The case measures about 4-1/4" long, 3-1/4" wide, and 1-1/2" tall when closed. Double hinged on the back.
Nice addition to a buckle collection or to add some shine and sparkle to a rockabilly outfit.
I have not polished the buckle, but did give it a wipe with a dry microfiber cloth. I imagine it will really shine with a proper polish.
