are microfauna that breakdown dead plants/leaves, organic waste and mold. Our Isopod cultures arrive in a dirt substrate w/ leaf litter ready to add directly to your terrarium/vivarium's substrate. To use your culture, simply empty the
culture directly on top of your substrate. Our
Isopods
will take it from there and thrive in most terrarium/
vivarium
environments.
If your terrarium is a new Bioactive setup without much decaying plant matter, our
Microfauna Food
is a proprietary blend of Vitamin Fortified Dry Yeast that can be used as supplemental or direct food source for Microfauna such as Springtails, Isopods and more. Containing everything needed for a culture to thrive, our easy food source will keep your Isopods fed for weeks with a pinch of powder every few days until your terrarium produces its own organic waste. This is helpful if your terrarium is fresh or to boost new culture's growth rate.

Generally a single culture is enough to get your Isopod colony started for tanks up to 30 gallons. After that a second culture is recommend to add on the opposite size of the terrarium as the first to spread out the colony to clean the entire setup. With all bioactive cultures. the more culture you start with the quicker it will establish. Include some with your order

You have the option to guarantee your purchase by selecting the "Yes, I want to guarantee my purchase" option from the listing.
This upgrades your shipping method to Priority Shipping which delivers within 1-3

If you decline the Live Arrival Guarantee and select "No, I will assume the risk" the package will be shipped with First Class and can take anywhere between 4-10 business days to arrive.
The live
arrival
guarantee is only upheld if the package is picked up at the post office (you must request this from your local post office once you are provided the tracking number) or it is brought inside
immediately after delivery. This must be proven with video that includes an internet clock as the delivery scan is timestamped to your tracking number.
Replacements will be provided if the above steps are taken to make a guarantee claim. Abuses to the eBay refund system by selecting "Item not as described" will be reported to eBay and reversed via appeal.
