    This is a SAS/SATA expander, it is NOT a RAID card.  You will need a RAID/HBA card already installed in your system for it to work.  When used with a compatible card, it will add an additional 24 to 28 SATA or SAS devices.  This card will work at 6Gbps with full duplex SAS drives for 3 Gbps half duplex SATA drives.  This Will work with most LSI based cards like the Dell PERC cards, H310, H200, and HP cards as well.
