Safely collect, transfer and feed isopods of various species, with this isopod snack-trap and hide!
Useful for isopod resellers shipping small orders, as well as hobbyists who are sorting and breeding morphs of their own!
This design comes in three parts, the lid, the dome, and the base.
To Use:
Grasp the lid by its top and press the other end into a thick slice of squash or other suitable vegetable.
Replace the lid and put the entire "Iso-Pad" into the enclosure, on a relatively flat surface.
Within a day or two, you should begin to see the isopods gathering to munch on the bait in the trap.(see photos)
When you are ready to collect, gently remove the lid and tap the isopods into a container.
Replace the lid to collect more. Once the bait has been sufficiently eaten away, a quick rinse in the sink will have it ready for reuse.
The entire item is 3D printed from PLA and comes in different colors.
Colors available at this time: Black, Blue, Orange, Green. (See Photos)
Testing with a large colony of Armadillidium Nasatum, has shown excellent results, but this may vary based on colony size and species.
I am a hobbyist just trying to make a few bucks on something I love. The price I have set is negotiable, but I can only go so low. (I need to be able to buy prettier filament ;P )
