made in Sweden. Marked and numbered on the underside.
Mari Simmulson was one of the leading designers for Gustavsberg and Upsala-Ekeby in the 1940's-1960's
. She is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design and her works are well known. This example is free of chips, cracks and repairs. There is wear to the handles but this vase presents well. They seem to have lost the original sheen of the matt finish. I have priced accordingly. Most of the original label is still present but loose on the edge. The olive color is mixed with a lighter yellowish green. I have had this black light tested with no sign of repair. It stands just over 8" high and measures 5.25" from handle edge to handle edge.
