    Description

    Rare antique mezuzah case.These were made of gold colored metal, likely tin. This a very delicate, simple mezuzah likely used by Eastern European immigrants to the United States approximately from the early 20th century, pre-1920. Probable origin New York.
    The mezuzah slides open for scroll placement but we did not do this as it will require gentle bending of the metal. A historically significant  collectible and functional antique Jewish ceremonial object.
