History:
I bought this a couple of months ago through a local estate auction, and picked up the item at the same home it's been stored at for the last ~37 years, being a 1984 model. From the clues on the box, and from the auction house and estate, it was made in Japan (obviously), and shipped from a Pioneer distribution center in Long Beach, CA to a long defunct department store here in Tucson called Levy's. It was purchased there, and ended up being stored - unopened - at the estate located on the East side of town.
Condition:
The was in new/sealed condition, with all original packaging, manual (and other paperwork), and the RCA cable. I decided to open it so that 1) I could verify that it is fully functional w/ no issues, and 2) My family and I could enjoy using it for a little bit. It probably has about 10 hours of playtime on it, so plenty of life left. It is flawless, and truly a beauty. I am somewhat hesitant to sell it, but I figure it could go to someone who might enjoy it far more.
The box itself has some water staining on the top, which is surface level; the cardboard does not look or feel at all degraded. It also has some markings on it, likely made during the shipping and receiving process.
The will ship with all original packaging and aforementioned (and pictured) items.
