Realgar (Hue) - Handmade Oil Paint - 40ml

Description

This tube of paint is my take on the historical renaissance color "Realgar". Realgar is an orange stone that comes naturally from the earth. This color is an earthy orange color and is opaque when made into a paint. This color can often be found in icon painting in the medieval and renaissance eras. Genuine Realgar is still commercially available through a small handful of companies, but it is mostly out of reach for the average person for a handful of reasons. It is pricey, not offered by many and most importantly- it is incredibly toxic because it contains arsenic.
My hue is very similar to the genuine color, mine is slightly less opaque than the genuine color.
