    About the artist
    :  Lise Lorentzen has been practicing the art of rosemaling for over thirty years, painting in the tradition of her Norwegian heritage.
    Her expertise covers the Telemark Hallingdal, Rogaland, Vest Agdar and Valdres styles.  Lise has studied under Norwegian and American artists, most notably
    master artist Eldrid Arntzen, a National Endowment of the Arts recipient.   She has taught at
    the Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts in Ludlow, Vt. and at the Norwegian Seaman's Church in New York City.
    Lise is a member of Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum in Decorah, IA, and competes in the museum's annual folk art competition.
    In 2014, she received First place at the Sons of Norway Third District Convention, and placed third place nationally in Vesterheim’s 2013 annual competition.
    Lise currently resides in Hartford County, Maryland with her husband and three children.
    Each 6" X 6" tile features a cork back and a loop for hanging.
