    Description

    Old beautiful black amethyst glass with gorgeous top surface iridescence multi ruffled edge carnival glass compote dish.  It must be a rather difficult item to find because I have never seen another one and I could not find it in any of my dozens of carnival glass reference books.  I am fairly sure it came here from Australia probably about the 1920's or 30's.  It has no markings on it and it has no chips, cracks or damage.  It is 6 1/4" high and 8 3/4" across the top.  The base is 4 1/4 across.  Gorgeous iridescence!!!  It weighs 2 pounds.
