Gorgeous little retrospective on Thorkild Olsen’s career at Royal Copenhagen on his 50
th
anniversary with the company. Printed in a limited edition of 1000 copies, this is number 11. Fifteen page book is approximately 8” x5.5”, is written in Danish, with color illustrations and black and white photographs. Additionally, there are two small woodcuts printed on tissue paper (3.75” x5” and 2.75”x6.25”), and glued into the book, making this an extraordinary mixed media reference book. Book is in overall excellent condition:  there are two pencil marks on the front cover, cover corners are slightly creased, some color transfer from the second woodcut to the edition number page, and normal wear for its age. This clever book sums up Olsen’s artistic career in ceramics and visual design, and would be a wonderful addition to any Scandinavian pottery or design collection. Shipped boxed.
