    Description

This beautiful vase has a mottled teal/green glaze with a satiny finish.  On the center front there is a floral silver  overlay.  There are also silver linear accents on the top rim and foot.  On the bottom, is the gold Gustavsberg's identification stamp.  Marked in the mold are the numbers 1157 and 2005 II.  My research tells me this vase is a part of the "Argenta" Series designed sometime during the 1930's - 40's by Wilhelm Kage, while he was the artistic leader of the Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory, Sweden.
The vase is in excellent condition for it's age.  From use over time, the interior of the vase does show a "dullness" as compared to the exterior's satiny finish.  My only attempt to clean the inside was to use a damp cloth.
The vase has dark patina on the silver floral overlay and on the silver accent trim.  It can be left as is or, if preferred, it can be polished to a bright silver shine.  The vase has no chips or cracks.
Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of the condition description.
