Wilhelm Kåge Gustavsberg Argenta 5” Green stoneware vase silver overlay Sweden. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Measures approximately 5 inches tall and 2 1/8 inches in diameter at base and 1 7/8 inches in diameter at top. Weighs 10.5oz. Please review all photos. No chips or cracks but definitely was used over the years. I just did a quick dusting to the outside. Wanted to let the buyer decide if they want to polish it. I will package very carefully so will likely be into the 2 pound range for shipping. I am estimating this is from the 1930s from the bio I found.Swedish ceramic artist and designer, Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960) was primarily active in the late-1920s through the 1950s and is best known for his contribution to functionalist style, as well his work as the artistic leader of the Gustavsberg porcelain factory. In 1930, Kåge exhibited his Argenta Series at the Stockholm Exhibition. This was his first successful foray in ceramics. The series, which included everything from ashtrays to urns, was glazed in red, brown and blue; but it was the pieces finished in a green glaze with silver adornments that really caught people’s attention.
